- The second meeting of the board of directors of the Federation held in al Aqaba where the members of the board of directors and the General Secretary of the federation were elected for the period 2003 to 2007 and the members of the Federation permitted to hang the slogan of the Federation in there offices.

- The Council of Arab Economic Unity decided that the Arab Federation of Chambers of Shipping to work under its umbrella.
