  • The Second meeting of the Arab commitee to activate the Arab performance in the field of maritime transportation:
  • Mr/Ely Emel Zakhour, the first vice chairman of the Arab federation of Chambers of Shipping and admiral/Mohsen Al-Masry, the General Secretariat of the AFCS attend the second meeting of the Arab committee to activate the Arab performance in the field of maritime transportation in Alexandria during the period 9-10 September 2007 .

  • The Arab Federation of Chambers of Shipping (AFCS) signs a cooperation agreement with the concerned authorities of maritime transportation in the Republic of Azerbaijan:
  • Admiral/Hatem ElKady, the chairman of board of directors of the AFCS has signed a cooperation agreement on the 6th of September 2007 in Baku with the concerned authorities of maritime transportation in Azerbaijan to support cooperation between them.
  • The agreement includes the following:
  • Cooperation Agreement Between the Arab Federation of Chambers of Shipping and
  • The State Maritime Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan
  • By the virtue of the brotherly ties between the Arab Federation of Chambers of Shipping and the State Maritime Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan show the intention of achieving the following objectives:
  • • To cooperate in the field of training and interchanging information related to the operation and management of both parties Arab Federation of Chambers of Shipping and the State Maritime Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
  • •To establish better bases of cooperation in the maritime transport operations between both parties.
  • •To contribute to the development of the commercial and economic relationships for the mutual benefit of the two parties.
  • •To exchange experience between the two parties including Egypt and the State re-presented in the Arab Federation of Shipping Chambers ports and Baku Sea Trade International port.
  • Taking into account the above mentioned objectives and for the purpose of their achievement, both parties agree:
  • •To exert efforts in order to facilitate any obstacle facing the other party.
  • •To exchange experience and visits between the two parties and to coordinate between them the adaptation of a unified stand towards the resolution issued by international conferences on maritime transport.
  • •To promote the technical cooperation between the two parties through the training of technical and administrative personnel in the appropriate training institutes or organizations.
  • •To promote signing of bilateral Agreements on merchant shipping between Azerbaijan and State re-presented in the Arab Federation of Shipping Chambers by their respective national authorities.
  • •To negotiate and sign bilateral Agreements between Azerbaijan and State re-presented in the Arab Federation of Shipping Chambers by their respective national authorities on recognition of training and certification as provided by the STCW Convention, in order to further promulgate exchange of maritime labor force between the parties.
  • The achievements and fulfillments of the proposed objectives will take place though specific agreements for each action, which will be defined by a team formed by both entities that will coordinate the actions and establish the objectives and programs of development of each case.
  • In order to achieve that, the following document is signed in the city of Baku on 06 September 2007 in two originals in English.

  • The meeting of the Arab federations those are located in the Arab Republic of Egypt with the Egyptian organizations of business:
  • On the 14th of May,2007 in Cairo, the General Secretariat of the AFCS attends the meeting of the Arab federations those are located in the Arab Republic of Egypt with the industrial and commercial organizations of business .That's to work on enhancing the commercial and economic cooperation.
